PAUL H. RITTLE, SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The purpose of the Paul H. Rittle, Sr. Memorial Scholarship program is to provide worthy individuals who are financially incapable the opportunity to attend IREM’s courses, either in a classroom setting, online or through home study.
IREM SF’s Joe Guth Course Scholarship
The Joe Guth Educational Fund was established to assist Bay Area property managers in the attainment of their career objectives. Financial assistance will be awarded through the waiver of all tuition fees for a Chapter-sponsored Fundamental, Intermediate or Advanced course offering conducted during the current calendar year. The course shall be of the recipients’ choosing, however only one scholarship shall be awarded for each offering.
Criteria: Scholarship applicants must be current, active CPM candidates or recognized members of the ARM Committee. Applicants shall have completed a letter in which they have expressed a financial need for tuition assistance and stated their career goals. Applicants shall agree that if they are selected to receive a scholarship they will assist in administering the course they have selected to an extent requested by the Course Administrator of Record. Letters should be sent to: IREM SF, Scholarship Committee, 1592 Union Street, San Francisco, CA 94123.
Selection process: Scholarship applications will be accepted, reviewed, awarded or denied by the Chapter Scholarship Committee or another entity designated by the Chapter Board of Directors. Scholarships will be awarded solely on the basis of demonstrable need and professional commitment, without regard to the applicant’s race, color, national origin or company affiliation.
Number of Scholarships: The number of scholarships available will be determined by the Chapter Board of Directors as part of its annual budgeting process.
About Joe Guth: The late Joe Guth was a personal and professional inspiration for many property managers in the Bay Area. Chapter President in 1986, he was fundamental in establishing the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter as one of the finest in the county. One of five Emeritus members, Joe passed way on August 6, 1998.
Joe Guth was a vice president and inspirational leader at Eugene Burger Property Management Corporation for over 20 years. He was a ‘Top Gun’ fighter pilot, an accountant, contractor, golfer, fisherman and role model for many in the profession.
